How many of you have heard the song “A House Is Not a Home” 1964 written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David? Many of you who have, for sure are more familiar with the version sung by Luther Vandross in 1981. No matter which one you listen to, I want to call attention to the notion that the structure we know of as a “house” is purely a physical one, devoid of “soul”; while a home has within the same type of structure, the spirit of warmth, kindness, nourishment, love and family.
Yeah, it’s been a long time since I wrote my last blog here. So much has gone on since then and without going into all the details, life is quite interesting. Those of you who have been following may be wondering what I did about the dilemma I was in the last time I wrote. Long story short, we are putting our talents together in a business venture. “Talents, you say? Yeah, but maybe more so our passions.
To further understand (. . . read the former post . . .), we are combining her knowledge and excitement about numerology as a means for revealing a persons “inner road map” or “numerical influencings” while I mix that perspective with biofeedback-ed aura images that reveal the energy frequency of the color spectrum most representative of the person’s core “vibration” . . . People will gain tremendous insight into their “be”-ing after a consultation with us. Quite fascinating indeed! This venture is a way for me to be involved with her, in at least this aspect of her life (though I really feel I want more . . . much more . . .), where I can focus on building a good relationship with her based as business partners. If it is a successful effort, who knows what the future holds?
But, it is A GOOD HAPPENING! I’m really excited and looking forward to experience how this situation unfolds . . . Hopefully in such a delicious manner that I imagine only a very small segment of how wonderful this could actually turn out to be. If it does turn out that “the match”, is indeed from Heaven to the Earth . . . Or at least we respond to it as if it is . . . This has the feel of a fun journey beginning.
For those of you new to this blog, I am within a 25 year experience of marriage to a valorous woman who is truly a blessing . . . through her unconditional love and determination to provide for her loved ones . . . Yet, for whatever energetic reasons, has a way of colliding unpleasantly with me and mine. I have wondered all too often if we are suited for each other. In fact, ask me and I’ll clearly say no . . . no more wondering here. Yet, is this something that I can decide for myself and be right . . . correct . . . by way of my own reasoning and intent? Or is there Divine Intervention that affirms, “Forget what you think, she’s the ultimate one for you, I know better.”
I don’t know and for sure don’t understand. I have no idea what the truth is.
What “sweetens the deal” is that we have recently built a new “dwelling unit”. A new place to live that we call “ours” . . . no longer renters . . . “owners”.
My question now is this, what if the soul presently “registered” as “my wife”, is not ideally meant for me? What if I made a choice to marry her without considering an alignment with who I am to become in the eyes of “Source”, The G-D Energy, that which creates Worlds within The Universe . . . and my decision didn’t favor into account the longevity within which “contracts” such as the one we made in marriage persists?
What if at this stage in my becoming my greatest version of me, she can now only rank as a friend? She doesn’t excite me nor does she bring out the best expression of my self . . . and that a different “help-meet” is exactly what “the doctor” prescribes for my best interest? That’d be a blip! . . . Kind of . . .
So now the question is, will it be possible to transform the building . . . our new dwelling unit . . . the house . . . to a home with a vibrant, “soul-filled-unit”? A purposeful representation of the union of two splendidly matched components into a singular unit that radiates warmth and love to all who draw near . . . instead of a structure which in actuality is a portrayal of disunity and division, plurality that fails to communicate decisiveness and perfumes the air with dissension?
Now I’m not saying it’s really like all that exactly . . . Maybe exaggerated a teeny bit . . . As an idea . . . But, if it is impossible to achieve the preferable vibrant “state of living” in the spirit of a home, could it still be worth spending a portion of my lifetime in this “style” that is less perfect?
I am certainly worth more than that, but what if this is a part of my training . . . my preparation for the next stage of my oncoming “reality”?
Disconnected from a sense of belonging, from either side to either side, life feels obscure . . . unsatisfying in its attempt at fulfillment. A very important “thing” is missing . . . Can one find true peace and satisfaction while in this experience? Can the house erected be built into a home? Is it necessary?
Wow! I better close this “can of worms”. If this stuff gets out into the wrong eyes, I’m “up a creek” . . . without a paddle . . . and it won’t be pretty at the rocks!
I believe that there is no such thing as an accident. Everything has a reason and a purpose. They may be things that we have brought and will bring upon ourselves by way of our behavior. The actions we’ve taken after a series of thoughts lead us along the path to whatever results.
We don’t always train our “dog”ma to avoid the tragic mishap of being hit by the “kar”ma. Being extensions of “Source Energy” gives us the power to “re-create”. We make decisions based on what and how we think. The Law of Attraction holds that we draw upon ourselves that which we are like . . . that which matches the vibration at which we are vibrating . . . being in alignment with the spiritual “broadcast” whose frequency is the same as ours . . . that with which we project to our world.
So, in the process of becoming a better and better version of oneself, there is a need to experience contrasting feelings in order to decipher which are liked and which are not. It is this “pool of wonder” that provides the substances from which we learn to build our vibrational allies. The energies which accompany us and assist us in the direction we choose to go.
Taking into consideration that our physical bodies are in fact a “dwelling place” for a portion of our “spiritual bodies” (the majority of which is comprised of the connection extending from “The Source”) what are we providing to our “selves” in the way of a house or a home?
I have come to understand that what we know of as death is really just a separation from our physical bodies – which at first frightens us because we fear giving up the experiences this world has to offer . . . They have become more real than life itself! Yet, the pure bliss of what it is like to be reconnected to the timeless, unhindered, frictionless World of “Source”, completely overrides the so called “loss” of physical experience.
Of course, this physical experience is what causes expansion of consciousness. It is here that newness “re-creates”. Ideas are born and mankind fashions advancements and fascinating achievements. Without this experience new worlds cannot be born and the universe serves no purpose. For its creation was solely for the purpose of covertly assisting us to become what we eventually become.
So now the question is, how are we serving our selves by our thoughts? What kind of “dwelling unit” have we constructed through the perpetuation of how and what we think? Is your consciousness in a house or is it living in a home? Are the thoughts that dominate every moment those which bespeak happiness, joy and appreciation for all that you have and satisfaction in knowing that everything is always working out for the better in your life – or – do thoughts that don’t serve you well the reigning champions?
You need to know, and this is very important, that we can control how we feel if we care how we want to feel. This is an awesome power! Get to know it. If it is important for us to feel a particular way, we make sure we feel it. If it is important for me to feel good, I do my best to direct my thought to those which cause me to feel good. I “allow” myself to feel good. It doesn’t pay to allow oneself to stay in a state of depression and sadness, dismay and frustration with “the way” things “are”. The way things are are because they are “thought” to “be” that way. That’s what is thought! What “good” results from thinking like that? Who would want to live in that “house”?
So my friends, it turns out that we decide what experience we want . . . which we will allow ourselves to relish in. We are the creators of our “realities”, in each and every now that we enter. What happens is up to us and our focus on where we want to take ourselves . . . the path we choose to follow. No one else decides that for us. It’s all in our heads!
Lao Tzu said (in Chinese of course . . .), “Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny!”?
With a working hearth in it, any house becomes a warm home.
